My name is Keld Lisby Hansen and I am a Knifemaker.
On this page you can find everything about my handmade knives.

I make all the parts on my knives myself, from damaged blades to handles and leather sheaths.

I make utility knives and use only the best materials. I use materials such as mammoth tusk, reindeer antler, elk antler, exotic  and Nordic woods, stabilized wood as well as metals such as silver, bronze and new silver, etc.

You can see pictures of my knives in the gallery and you are very welcome to write a comment on my knives

or about my website.

Good pleasure

Om mig...

My name is Keld Lisby Hansen - and I am a knife maker.

I live on a disused farm approx. 10. km. east of Viborg in central Jutland.

I first started making knives in the 1990s when I needed a knife for scouting. It caught my eye and I made one more and then one more and so on.

At first I read all the literature I could find in the library and tried my hand at it. Later, I participated in several courses with some of the best knife makers and I also held knife courses myself.

I make all the parts for my knives myself. At first I forged my own blades the "old fashioned" way - with an anvil and axe. Now I´ve switched to sharpening the blades on my home-built belt sander.

I never make two knives that are alike.

In the 3rd edition of the knife magazine in 2017, there was a knife maker portrait of me.

Here you can see and read the portrait as a PDF file
